The controversy comes shortly after Celina filed an FIR against Peter Haag, accusing him of harassment, cruelty, criminal intimidation and physical abuse. Mumbai Police have registered the case under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, related to cruelty, intimidation and physical harm.
In another major development, according to TOI, authorities have reportedly issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against Haag over alleged non-cooperation in the investigation. Police officials are currently examining evidence, documents and communication records linked to the case.
Celina Jaitly's special post on Mother's Day
However, in her lengthy Mother’s Day post, Celina described the emotional trauma she says she has faced over the past several months. The actress claimed that she quietly left her home in Austria in the early hours of the morning with the help of neighbours after enduring what she described as “systematic oppression, emotional abuse, humiliation and fear.”According to Celina, she made the difficult decision to leave in order to protect herself, her children and her brother. She further alleged that after she initiated legal proceedings in India and sought help regarding her family matters, she lost communication with her children.
The actress claimed that despite existing joint custody arrangements and orders from an Austrian family court, she is currently being denied access to her three surviving children. She also alleged that the children had been moved to an undisclosed location.
In one of the most shocking parts of her statement, Celina accused her husband and his father of “brainwashing” and “radicalising” the children against her and her Hindu faith. These allegations, however, remain unverified and Peter Haag has not publicly responded to the claims so far. Celina also opened up about an emotional moment during her recent divorce hearings in Austria. Sharing videos online, she recalled standing outside her own home feeling heartbroken while thinking about the years she spent raising her family.
The actress further spoke about her late son Shamsher, who passed away shortly after birth due to a heart condition. Celina said the only child she was able to “hold” during that difficult phase was her departed son at his grave site, a moment she described as devastating.
She also alleged that despite repeatedly attempting an amicable separation, she was met with intimidation, coercion and demands connected to her premarital assets and finances. According to Celina, all she wanted was access to her children and the protection of assets she personally contributed during the marriage.
