Celebrities' punctuality issues at the Indian Cancer Society
Seems as if politicians aren't the only ones who suffer from chronic punctuality issues. At the 64th Founders Day celebrations of the Indian Cancer Society, education minister Vinod Tawde arrived right on time. Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, who features in a new anti-tobacco film, was MIA. The actor arrived over an hour late, rushing on to the stage, looking apologetic and complaining of wedding parties that clog traffic.

The other person who could have held up the event was the Maharashtra Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, expected as the guest of honour. Tawde revealed that the CM, unfortunately, had to cancel as he was caught up with the rescue efforts for Maharashtrians stuck in Nepal's earthquake calamity and was also preparing for his trip to Israel.

Once Dhawan made it, Tawde received him warmly on stage and said, "For the first time, the politician is on time and the actor made people wait." The audience laughed, prompting an embarrassed smile from Dhawan.
