Celebration time at BSE! When top boss Ashish Kumar Chauhan rang in his 49th birthday at the workplace

There’s always room for more cake at the modern-day workplace and birthdays are the perfect occasion for that mid-week indulgence. The scene was no different at the Bombay Stock Exchange ( BSE) last Thursday as Ashish Kumar Chauhan celebrated his 49th birthday with colleagues.

The mood’s been buoyant at the exchange since it’s successful initial public offer last month, an employee said. Chauhan’s birthday celebrations were made special thanks to the overhang of the euphoric spirit. Employees trooped in and out of Chauhan’s office all day, to wish the boss. He stepped out to cut a cake during the day and received a traditional gift from his staff: an orange coloured turban.

The BSE CEO will turn 50 next year. The big one will hopefully be ushered in with bigger celebrations.
