Catering to the new age work culture: BookMyShow office equipped with bunk beds
Geek culture is not just accepted today, it is in fact celebrated. The coder boys, with their superhero T-shirts and torn jeans, tote the cool tag in start-ups. And they are an industrious lot.

“When they get involved in solving a problem, they get passionately involved in it,” says Ashish Hemrajani, founder and CEO, BookMyShow (BMS). At times, they get so involved that they stay back in office for days on end, until it’s fixed.

This may be the new age work culture. But workspace decorum is an old concept. To straddle the two, BMS has an interesting solution. Their office is equipped with bunk beds. And when the employees wake up fresh the next day, they can collect hygiene kits, including a towel, shaving kits and toothbrushes to clean up for a day at work.
