Carpooling makes travelling more interesting: Ola Cabs' Arvind Singhatiya
Instead of driving to work, hitch a ride with a mate instead. Ola Cabs Vice President Arvind Singhatiya gave the thumbs up to carpooling, while speaking at the launch of 'Street Smart — Street Safe (Mumbai)', a three-week campaign by BBC TopGear India magazine and the Mumbai Traffic Police to make the city's streets safer.

Singhatiya speaks from experience — pleasant ones. "When I was in Delhi, I would travel to Chandigarh for official visits, and most of the time I'd let people know about my journey so that anyone travelling to that place could join me. It made my travel more interesting. We'd share the cost of the travel and overall, the trip was more enjoyable," he says.

Singhatiya was joined by Amit Sagar, National Sales Head of Tata Motors, who also clubbed road safety with the campaign's efforts to decongest Mumbai's streets.
