Cannes 2024: Aishwarya Rai looks fabulously flamboyant in an electric blue dress on day 2

Aishwarya Rai is not holding back in her experimental era! The Bollywood diva dazzled on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in an electric blue and silver dress! The ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ star looked simply out-of-the-world in a silver and blue gown on the second day of Cannes.

The shimmering, blue gown is a creation of the designer duo - Falguni and Shane Peacock.

Rai, who is a Cannes veteran, stole the show on the red carpet on the first day of Cannes in an black and gold ensemble. The ‘Devdas’ star looked radiant in an exquisite monochrome gown embellished with gold accents. The gown featured a form-fitting silhouette and billowy sleeves that nearly concealed her cast. Golden thunderbolts adorned her torso, while the lengthy train boasted intricately crafted golden flowers. Completing the ensemble were oversized gold hoops and a luminous makeup look.


The actress was accompanied by her daughter Aaradhya at Cannes. Aside from Rai, actresses such as Sobhita Dhulipala, Kiara Advani and ‘Heeramandi’ star Aditi Rao Hydari is also a part of the guestlist at Cannes.

On the work front, the veteran actress was last seen in her mentor Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan I’ and its sequel ‘PS: 2’. Her performance as Nandhini, a Pazhuvoor princess who plots to bring the mighty dynasty of the Cholas to settle old scores and her chemistry with Vikram (who played her former lover Aditha Karikalan), wee met with rave reviews.

Hailed as the biggest film festival of the world, Cannes will extend till May 25.
