Canadian content creator Raychel Reimer-Hurley is winning the internet with her viral review of a seven-hour train ride in India that cost her barely Rs 1,000. From chaotic platform scenes at 5 am to hot samosas mid-journey, she described the experience as not only affordable but also one of the best ways to see the real India.

Raychel shared how her day began hunting for her train on platform 7, where the sight of people napping on the ground and commuters casually hopping onto moving trains struck her as something uniquely Indian. Once onboard, though, she admitted the service was far more comfortable than she had expected. Staff handed her bedding essentials like a blanket and sheets packed neatly in a brown paper bag, and she was served a simple vegetarian meal with toast and a veggie patty, later followed by a plate of samosas that cost only Rs 10.



For just about $12 (approx Rs 1,000), the Canadian traveller called Indian train travel one of the best bargains in the world, highlighting how the journey isn’t just about getting to a destination but about soaking in the authentic Indian experience along the way.
