We have always been made to be believe that smoking is one of the dangerous habits that mankind has as it can lead to death. But there are a few other habits that might cost you as much.

One such habit is having a high protein diet. Shocking it may sound but this is what University of Southern California claims.

This claim is based on the research that tracked a large sample of adults for nearly two decades.

The findings of the research have found that eating a diet rich in animal proteins during middle age makes you four times more likely to die of cancer than someone with a low-protein diet.

Animal sources for protein include meat, milk and cheese.
