Sara Tendulkar will reach a major academic milestone today. According to some in the know, Sachin and Anjali Tendulkar’s daughter will graduate in medicine from the prestigious University College, London (UCL). Her parents are with her to mark the special day.
Sara’s father, who played a bit of cricket for a living, was meticulous about his preparation before matches and his kit bag. It won’t be surprising if she mirrors his approach for her day in the sun. The Tendulkars And in the rare event she needs a primer, the UCL website has a comprehensive graduation ceremony checklist for students.
- UCL Student ID or another form of photo ID e.g. passport, driving licence - E-mail confirming your academic dress (robe) - Hair grips for securing mortar board - Safety pins for securing your hood on your robe - A small bottle of water

- If you have new shoes, ensure you have worn them before the ceremony to avoid blisters (bring plasters just in case!) - Mobile phone for exchanging email addresses and phone numbers with friends (Please ensure you switch off all mobile phones during the ceremony) - Camera (no filming or flash photography is permitted during the ceremony).
