BMW India, on Monday, launched the new-generation Z4 Roadster in the country. The luxury drive has a starting price of Rs 64.90 lakh for the sDrive20i variant. Its M40i variant, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 78.90 lakh.

The convertible has been developed in collaboration with Toyota and comes as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).

The new Roadster gets evolutionary styling over its previous versions. It now comes with a wide kidney grille on the front. Headlamps with a smoked finish and LED treatment also warrant attention. The bumper, this time, gets a bigger air intake with fog lamps blending with the design.

The car rests on 18-inch or 19-inch alloys. The sharp wraparound LED taillights go well with the gloss-black finished bumper and twin exhaust tips.

The German automaker said that the new car can be further enhanced with a Sport Line or M Sport Package on the sDrive20i.

Like all other drives by the automaker, this one too gets a 50-50 weight distribution to facilitate optimum drive with power restricted to the rear wheels.
Its cabin shares design elements with other BMW models. A 10.3-inch multimedia display dominates the front. A 12.3-inch digital display, too, grabs attention as it replaces the conventional instrument console.

The luxury convertible also sports a two-zone climate control, ambient lights, and electrically-adjustable front seats. The M40i version gets a 364 watt Harman Kardon system and a Head Up Display.
