Suriya is glad to have completed 25 years in Tamil cinema and he is today one of the most famous names in South Indian cinema. The actor received Rs. 736 as his first monthly salary, and he is still on the minds of most South Indian directors and film producers. On September 6, the silver jubilee year of the actor was celebrated in South Indian cinema, and the actor promptly showed his gratitude to fans and the film industry.
In a tweet, the actor showed how thankful he is in a unique way and said that the most beautiful time of 25 years has now been traversed and one has to dream and believe in it too. He signed off by saying "Your Suriya," signifying belonging to the people, who watch his films.
Suriya's walk to stardom began in 1997 with Nerrukku Ner and since then his acting skills have been loved by one and all. Filmmaker Bala’s "Nandha" in 2011 was Suriya’s catapult to fame, and his role as an ex-convict got out the best in him, which fans loved.
Suriya currently had a good run with "Soorarai Pottru" (2020) and "Jai Bhim" (2021). Both films were released on the OTT format and quickly became favorites of fans. Both films garnered fantastic reviews. In 2022, "Etharkkum Thunindhavan" has also been loved by the masses and critics alike, with a bonus in the form of "Vikram", the Kamal Haasan film. The R. Madhavan film "Rocketry" gave him rave reviews and the masses enjoyed his cameo appearance in it as well.
Fans are now eager to see him perform in "Siva of Annaatthe", his next film in the pipeline. Vaadivasal is also another film that is awaited eagerly by his fans where he has tied up with Vetrimaaran.
