iPhone 14 is all set to be available in the market with all new designs and here is how it will be radically different than the previous models.

Despite consisting of the same SoC as the one in iPhone 13 series, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will have a performance boost due to the latest cellular modem and internal design changes, according to a tipster. Reports suggest Apple will use A 15 Bionic chip sets for the rumored non-pro devices and A 16 Bionic SoCs for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. As compared to the A 15 Bionic, the A 16 Bionic probably would not provide a significant improvement.

A tipster tweeted that a "new cellular modem, new internals design, etc.” will result in "some overall performance boost" for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max.

Both iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max are expected to pack last year's A 15 Bionic chip, not the A 16 Bionic that will go into the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The models that are non-pro are also anticipated to comprise at least 6GB of RAM, as compared to the current 4GB of RAM that comes in the iPhone 13 series.

There is, however, a catch. It is expected that the Pro model will feature more fast and more energy-competent LPDDR5 RAM, while the non-pro model will feature 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. There is the same amount of RAM in the iPhone 13 series, but it only comes with 4G. Considering this information, it's safe to assume iPhone 14 models that are non-pro will perform a little better irrespective of consisting of similar SoC as the iPhone 13.

Analysts predict slight improvements in performance and power savings on the A 16 over the A 15 Bionic, but Apple will still refer to the new chip set as the A 16 Bionic.

In addition to hardware upgrades, software upgrades are also expected in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. By refining the software side of things, iOS 16 will offer a more optimized user experience than its previous models.
