Raksha Bandhan: Akshay Kumar says he prefers to appear in 'clean movie'
Superstar Akshay Kumar is portraying the elder brother to four sisters in Aanand L. Rai's upcoming flick Raksha Bandhan.

Actor Akshay Kumar has said that he prefers to appear in 'clean' movies. In a recent interview ahead of the release of his new movie Raksha Bandhan directed by Aanand L. Rai, the actor spoke candidly about his film preferences.
The actor told PTI, "I want to try my hand at many entertainment genres. No kind of image is what I want to create. But I make sure that the movies I make have to be family-friendly. I'm not interested in producing ghinoni (filthy) movies.
"Families should watch it without reservations, whether it is a social drama or a psycho-thriller. I support producing family-friendly movies while considering both their message and commercial viability," he said.
The Raksha Bandhan crew has been traveling around the nation and has been active with promotions. According to DNA, he spoke more about his sister Alka during a press conference in Gujarat. Kumar said that his relationship with his sister has always been one of affection. "My sister is cool-headed and doesn't fight at all, so she isn't least afraid of me," Kumar said.
"Even if I occasionally lose my cool, there has never been any argument. She always maintains her composure. My parents have always taught me that my sister is more than just my sister; she is a Devi (deity). Thus, she is a Devi in my eyes," Kumar said.
In the upcoming movie Raksha Bandhan, which will be released on August 11, Bhumi Pednekar will play the lead actor's love interest.
It is made in collaboration with Cape Of Good Films by Colour Yellow Productions, Zee Studios, and Alka Hiranandani. The movie will clash with Laal Singh Chaddha at the box office. Laal Singh Chaddha is the authorized Indian version of Forrest Gump and features Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
