Priyanka Chopra’s mom reveals Nick Jonas gives shower to daughter Malti, changes her diapers

The Jonas couple is surely having a splendid time as new parents. They seem to be busy spending most of their time with Malti Marie Jonas Chopra in this new phase of their lives. Earlier this year, in January, their daughter was born through surrogacy, but it was months later that the beloved actor Priyanka shared first glimpses of Malti Marie, in May, on Mother's Day, saying that their daughter has finally come home after spending over three months in NICU.

Their fans have been eagerly waiting for the couple to reveal their daughter's face, so the hint is given by Madhu Chopra, Priyanka's mother that the photos of Malti Marie's face might be shared with the public very soon by the parents on her birthday in a new interview.

How did the Jonas couple keep their daughter’s name?

The little girl's name has been taken from Madhumalti Chopra, which is Priyanka's mother's name, who is popularly called Madhu Chopra. Talking about the name, the new grandmother was pleasantly surprised when she got to know about the name, which was on the day of “Namkaran”, a Hindu ritual. She felt honoured, she said.

As per Madhu, Nick's father did all the Hindu rituals. The tradition is that the baby's name and blessings and good wishes are whispered into the baby’s ear by the paternal grandfather. She continued by sharing how the Jonas couple had already talked about future roles and responsibilities.

She shared how duties got divided equally between the parents as Priyanka gives her a massage and Nick bathes her and changes her nappies. They might share her pictures on her first birthday, she hinted.

In addition, Madhu mentioned that she had asked Priyanka to limit her daughter's screen time during the early years. She advised Priyanka that exposing Malti to screen time at such an early age might result in her daughter wearing big glasses in the future.

Priyanka celebrated her 40th birthday last month on the 18th with her newborn Malti Marie and the love of her life Nick Jonas, as well as her friends and family. Additionally, she posted photos to her Instagram account that included Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, Parineeti Chopra, Madhu Chopra, Nick Jonas and some close friends.
