What makes some Indians enjoy posing for pictures with foreigners? This important subject has been raised often on travel blogs, forums, Quora, and other websites. Despite the trend, no suitable response has yet been found. This behaviour is so common that in 2017, Union Minister of State for Tourism KJ Alphons requested that Indians refrain from approaching foreigners for pictures because the act violates their privacy.

But the desire for taking pictures with foreigners is still going strong, and one of the most well-known YouTubers in the world just travelled to India and experienced it firsthand. This week, MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson in real life) arrived in India for the first time. MrBeast is a well-known character in his own right, with 103 million YouTube subscribers and some of the most popular videos to his credit, but that's not why he was stopped for a photo in India.

"As I was exploring India, someone requested my picture. When I asked my translator what his favourite MrBeast video is, he responded that he had no idea what a MrBeast was and only wanted a picture with a tall white guy lol," he said.

It turns out that the onlooker who approached MrBeast for a photo didn't know he was a well-known YouTuber; all he wanted was a photograph with a tall white man!
On the microblogging site, the message has amused thousands of users. Many Indians have apologised to the YouTuber, while others have offered to take him around the nation. Others asked MrBeast to work on a video project with them.

The YouTuber updated this afternoon, saying, "Cool seeing all the love from India, might have to film some vids here eventually." MrBeast is mostly to blame for the rise in popularity of high-priced stunt videos and elaborate productions on YouTube. Even among the largest YouTube stars, his videos consistently receive millions of views.
