The new poster released for the next Mani Ratnam masterpiece 'Ponniyin Selvan' carried the logo of Amazon Prime Video. The appearance of the logo puts all the rumors to rest regarding the tie-up of the makers of the film with another OTT biggie. Reportedly, the OTT rights for the magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan' were sold at 120 Crores which is one of the highest prices grossed by a Tamil Film.
The much-awaited launch event for releasing the audio and trailer for the film 'Ponniyin Selvan' will take place in Chennai. The massive scale planning for the promotional event includes the Nehru Indoor Stadium which is a famous venue in Chennai.

The Mani Ratnam mega dream project 'Ponniyin Selvan' has been adapted from the epic historical novel written by Kalki Krishnamurthy which carries the same name.
The film has a stellar star cast with big names like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram Jayam Ravi, and Trisha Krishnan. The legendary music composer A R Rahman is composing the original score for the Mani Ratnam film along with other songs.

Ravi Varman is the Cinematographer of the film and the screen adaptation has been written by Jeyamohan. The historical epic drama is produced by Madras Talkies, in association with Lyca Productions. Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 is expected to hit the cinemas on September 30, 2022.
