The infamous Johnny Depp versus Amber Heard trial has been one of the most media-covered events in the celebrity world. It can be gauged by the fact that the case hearing was live-streamed on many platforms, and millions of people were watching it every day.

In the same series, the words are doing rounds that the popular show "Law & Order: SVU" would also cover the Depp versus Heard case. The new season of the show is in production, and it is being guessed that the 24th season of it will cover the infamous trial, according to a report.

Recently, some production photos shared by ET Canada showed Captain Olivia Benson, a fictional character of "Law & Order: SVU" and played by Mariska Hargitay, escorting an unknown woman character out of a courtroom. Interestingly, the unknown character is flanked by a crowd outside the courtroom, and people have signboards reading "I Stand With Austin," "Team Austin," and "Team Kelsey."

The photo resembles the scenes pictured some weeks ago in front of the Virginia courtroom during the defamation trial. As per ET Canada, the episode related to Depp versus Heard case can be seen in the 24th season of the show "Law & Order: SVU," which will return in the fall.

"Law & Order: SVU" is an NBC show, and the franchise stars several actors, including Mariska Hargitay, Kelli Giddish, Ice T, Octavio Pisano, and Peter Scanavino. The show is renowned for making episodes that are based on real-life cases.

Although there is no official comment from the show producers, the recently-uploaded photo has strongly indicated the storyline.

The defamation trial between Depp and Heard was concluded on June 1, when the jury found Ms Heard guilty of defaming Mr Depp. Earlier, Johnny Depp had filed a defamation case against Amber Heard for publicly accusing him of domestic abuse. Following the verdict, Amber Heard owes her ex-husband Johnny Depp $15 million.
