Koffee with Karan Season 7: Samantha Ruth Prabhu reveals why she chose Family Man 2

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has made her debut on Koffee With Karan with Akshay Kumar in the 7th season of the famous chat show. The beautiful performer has won many hearts across the country in a very short duration of time.

On the show, host Karan Johar asked why she chose to play the part of Raji in "The Family Man 2" during the episode. He also asked whether it was a previous camaraderie with DK and Raj.

Didn't even know the makers of 'The Family Man 2'

Samantha replied that she didn't even know DK and Raj, and even the first season of 'The Family Man' had not been released when she started shooting for 'The Family Man 2'.

She went on to say that she wanted the challenge as people get typecast with the roles that actors get in the South, and it is because the directors saw her having a cute and bubbly love interest type of a personality. She added that she felt stifled and wanted to break the typecast. She believed that she got an opportunity to look at herself differently in a different role, and then she took this opportunity.

According to reports, Samantha is the most popular female actor as she left behind many famous names. Samantha has given a series of blockbusters, and that too in the last four years while working in the South.

Her performances have won plenty of hearts, and her first dance number "Oo Antava" in Pushpa, gathered a lot of attention and fame. The song has been trending for a long time, and even today, people love it. Her aura and personality is like a wildfire, which is not ready to douse any soon.
