Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep-starrer "Vikrant Rona" created quite some buzz when it was released in theaters due to its 3D fantasy action genre. Now Vikrant Rona will be released in OTT platform. Zee 5 and Zee Kannada have the rights to stream this movie on Kiccha Sudeep’s birthday which is on September 2. Rumors have it that a fancy price was paid to claim the movie's digital rights.

Despite the mixed reviews, Vikrant Rona was a major box office hit with a business ranging between Rs 150 crore and Rs 200 crore. Actual figures are still not revealed but it won many hearts. It was released in 14 languages and across 55 countries.
Nirup Bhandari, Jacquelin Fernandez, and Neetha Ashok also feature in the movie. Vikrant Rona's success is owed to its 3D version, and technical finesse. Anjaneesh Loknath's music has added a great deal of punch to this movie.
Vikrant Rona has been presented by Zee Studios, Salman Khan films, and Kichcha Creations. Anup Bhandari has made his debut in direction through Vikrant Rona. William David's cinematography and the special number Gadang Rakkama have brought it a great deal of attention. Jack Manjunath has backed the production under Shalini Arts with Alankar Pandian from Invenio Origions being the co-producer.
The film’s plot revolves around a village named Kamarottu where children starts to go missing and are later found dead. Vikrant Rona, a new police inspector takes up the case and tries to get to the roots of it all. While doing so, he faces plenty of challenges and it comes at a great personal cost for him.
Sudeep has mentioned that he and Anup would soon be collaborating for more films including Bila Ranga Baasha. This project was said to have been their first one together. A possible sequel to Vikrant Rona may come out named Ashwatthama. The superstar actor is said to be in Rakshasudu 2 as well along with Venkat Prabhu. None of these movies have been announced officially yet but there are various rumors about collaboration with Satya Jothi Films which may be a multi-film deal.
