Many Twitter users have pointed out that a good portion of Alia Bhat’s dialogue in Brahmastra is just various inflections of ‘Shiva’, the name of the character played by Ranbir Kapoor.

Long before the release of the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer movie Brahmastra, the film was creating buzz across social media platforms. Though the film faced boycotts called almost every day and got entangled in controversy, Brahmastra is proving to be capable of standing its ground after its release. It’s seemingly bringing Bollywood out of its apparent plummet as far as the box office collection of Brahmastra suggests.

Ranbir Kapoor said he’s really ‘happy and proud’ for the director Ayan Mukerji whose relentless work made the film possible.

The overall response to the film ‘Brahmastra’ is positive, but it’s also getting some fitting criticism from social media users. Among such criticisms, one points out that a good portion of the dialogues of Alia Bhatt in the film appears to be various inflections of “Shiva”. In Brahmastra, Alia Bhatt plays the role of Isha, while Ranbir is Shiva.

One Twitter user listed various inflections Alia used in the film.

While another Twitter user said that Alia Bhatt came to Brahmastra’s set to shout “shiva three to four times” and returned home every day for 400 days.

In an interview with News18, the journalist Sonil Dedhia wrote that for the last ten years, the film Brahmastra has been percolating in Ayan Mukerji’s head and that the film is a “bold and audacious attempt”. He added that Brahmastra is a “hugely rewarding experience” if you’re not the one who has already assumed the film( because of social media) even before watching it.

After day two of Brahmastra’s release, it has bagged Rs. 160 crores worldwide, after all, that’s said and done about the film. It registered Rs. 75 crores worldwide opening on the first day, and on day two, it collected Rs.85 crores, taking the whole earning as far as Rs.160 crores.
