In a first, Tamannaah Bhatia to be seen with actor Dileep in Malayalam film 'D147'. Details inside

Movie starring Dileep and Tamannaah has been planned for release soon and there is an extreme excitement in Malayalam film industry as the duo has been teamed up for lead role.

Dileep is a southern superstar and Tamannaah who has been cast in 65 films, still in her early 30s, speaks volumes about her capability. Tamannaah is very popular down south but she has acted mainly in Tamil and Telegu films. This film with Dileep will be her first foray into Malayalam films.

Tamannaah began her acting career at the age of 15 and has already contributed more than a decade and a half of acting in films.


The film D147 is directed by Gopi and written by Uday Krishna and the producer is Vinayaka Ajith.




With Ganapati Pooja the film was officially launched at the Maha Ganapati Temple in Kerela. Dileep wore the traditional lungi and Tamannaah came looking dapper in a beige saree with flowers in her hair. The pair has already hit the high scales on the internet with people ushering their congratulations and predicting the pair to be a hit.

Sam CS is the music composer of the film whereas Shaji Kumar will be the cinematographer. More details are awaited but from the looks of it, the film is hoping to do well.

Dileep has been in a rough patch personally with the Bhavana Menon abduction case looming large in his immediate past.

The actress Bhavana was forcibly kidnapped and molested on her way back from work and Dileep is a co-accused in the case. Police officers have also accused Dileep and others of threatening the investigating officers and also planning to have them killed. The case continues in court and Dileep is currently on bail.


Tamannaah has only to gain from her appearance in this film and this will be an added feather to her already rich crown.

Apart from D147, Tamannaah has plenty of prominent projects lined up ahead. She will be in Madhur Bhandarkar’s project Babli Bouncer and Arunima Sharma’s web series Jee Karda. In addition to this, a dance number with Chiranjeevi in Godfather is in the offing. The much anticipated Telegu film Gurthunda Seethakalam is also expected to release on September 23.
