Delhi High Court has asked Yash Raj Films to deposit Rs 1 crore in order to release 'Shamshera' on OTT platforms. The Hindi action film 'Shamshera', which released under the label of Yash Raj Films, has been directed by Karan Malhotra. It also has two popular stars of Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. Ranbir Kapoor plays a double role in this film. Versatile and stunning actors like Vaani Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Ronit Roy and Saurabh Shukla have done justice to their roles in the movie.
However, this film has received mixed reactions from the audience and has failed terribly at the Indian Box Office. At the theatres, 'Shamshera' was released for audience in multiple languages like Hindi, Tamil as well as Telugu. The official release date for this film was July 22.
And the 'Shamshera' poster release sparked a controversial conversation and was trolled by the viewers. Even the two big stars of Hindi film industry, Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor, couldn't ensure the success of the film at the box office.
Additionally, a court case is going on in the Delhi High Court over release of 'Shamshera' on the OTT platforms. As a predominant Bollywood producer Bikranjeet Singh Bhullar claims that 'Shamshera' is an infringement of his copyright work. YRF has been slapped with a legal notice for copying the literary work of the 'Kabu na chhadein Khet'.
