Actor Taapsee Pannu on Monday turned a year older. As the actor celebrates her birthday, let's look at her journey in the film industry. Taapsee Pannu has featured in many hit movies, but she still makes headlines for getting targeted by online trollers.

The actor has been subjected to brutal trolling. However, she has responded to all her haters and trollers with her power-packed performances in critically-acclaimed movies.

Her "never say never" attitude has helped her become an established actor in Bollywood despite from being an outsider. Nonetheless, her journey to become a famous star has not been a cakewalk, and she made her way to Hindi film industry through grit and perseverance.


Taapsee's journey so far:
Taapsee started her journey by entering the fashion industry. She participated in Femina Miss India in 2008 at the age of 20 when she was in college. She proceeded to act after her stint in the fashion industry.

Taapsee's step towards acting proved to be a game-changer for her. She first got recognition in South Indian movie industry before heading towards Bollywood.

Her debut movie in Hindi film industry was "Chashme Badoor," directed by David Dhawan. The movie was a commercial success, although it did not receive positive reviews.

The best of Taapsee in the industry came with the movie 'Pink'. The courtroom drama, directed by Shoojit Sircar, received positive responses from all quarters, and so did Tapsee for her acting.

The success of 'Pink' propelled Taapsee's career. Later, she went on to play leading roles in movies like Judwa 2 and Naam Shabana.

The actor also showed versatility by choosing films and roles distinct from one another.

At present, Taapsee Pannu is living her dream of working with her role model, Shah Rukh Khan. Taapsee and superstar will be seen together in Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani.

Her latest film Shabaash Mithu was released in July.
