Founder Carl Pei rubbishes reports over Nothing Phone (1) Lite. This is what he said

Several weeks earlier, rumors regarding Nothing Phone (1) Lite were being circulated. However, Carl Pei, the founder of Nothing Company, recently took to Twitter to dispel rumors regarding a cheaper version of the Nothing Phone (1).

The Nothing Phone (1) is Nothing Company's first phone under Carl Pei's leadership. Before the smartphone's actual release, there was much anticipation surrounding the device.

The device arrived in India at a starting price of Rs 32,999. Although there have been some issues with the delivery of the device and the Nothing Phone (1) itself, it is safe to say that most tech enthusiasts have responded positively to it. However, people have wished for a lighter and more affordable Nothing Phone (1).

As a result, rumors began to circulate that Nothing would soon produce the Nothing Phone (1) Lite, a stripped-down version of the Nothing Phone (1) lacking the glyph lights and that it would be ready for release in India by Diwali this year.

The rumor also claimed that the upcoming "Lite" phone would be offered at an affordable price, beginning at 24,999. According to reports, wireless charging will not be available in the phone.

The Nothing Phone's (1) two most popular features were the Glyph interface and wireless charging, distinguishing the device from the competition.

According to the rumor, the "Lite" version would retain the remaining specifications, including the display, processor and cameras. In addition, as per reports, the battery would be of 5,000mAh.

Carl Pei took to Twitter to set things straight, revealing that the Nothing Phone (1) Lite rumors were all false and that the company had no plans to design or manufacture one.

Technology companies, particularly smartphone manufacturers, typically do not respond to rumors or suggestions on social media, regardless of their integrity. Carl Pei had to make this statement and categorically deny the existence of the Nothing Phone (1) Lite.

It makes sense for Pei to deny the rumors, as a device with such a significant price difference has the potential to severely impact the Nothing Phone (1)'s current sales.
