First poster of 'Goodbye', starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna, out. See when and where to watch

Amitabh Bachchan released the first poster for his upcoming family comedy-drama, Goodbye, via Instagram on Saturday. The movie will release on October 7, and will be the first Hindi movie of actor Rashmika Madanna.

Hindi cinema megastar Amitabh Bachchan has released the first look of his upcoming movie, Goodbye. Big B shared the poster on Instagram, which also revealed that Goodbye would release on October 7.

The poster also features Rashmika Mandanna, who will be starring alongside Bachchan.

In his Instagram post, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, 'Parivar ka Saath hai sab se khaas' (support of the family is the most special).


Goodbye is a comedy-drama that revolves around a funeral, taking us through the life of a common Indian family. The film is produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Vikas Bahl.

In the poster, Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna can be seen sharing a smile as the former flies a kite while Rashmika holds the threaded wheel.

Apart from the two leads, Goodbye also features Neena Gupta, Sunil Grover, Pavail Gulati, Sahil Mehta, and Shivin Narang.

The shoot for the film began in April this year and was wrapped up in June. The movie is among Amitabh Bachchan's two upcoming movies, the other being the highly anticipated Brahmastra that releases on September 9.

By the year end, the megastar will also be seen in Sooraj Barjatiya’s 'Uunchai.'

Bachchan took a break from acting in 1984 to try his hand at politics. The 'Shahenshah', whose proximity to the Gandhis at the time was well-known, contested the 8th Lok Sabha elections from his hometown of Allahabad, in support of his friend, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Bachchan began his television stint as the host of quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) in 2000, after a period of professional struggle. Little did he know at the time of signing on the dotted line, that the Hindi adaptation of ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ would go on to become one of the most-watched shows on Indian television.

The company seemed to falter in its every move, from producing 'Mrityudata' - featuring Amitabh Bachchan - that bombed at the box-office to organising the Miss World Show, that failed to bring in the money and added to ABCL's already growing financial woes.

Goodbye will be Rashmika Mandanna’s first Hindi movie, which will soon be followed by Mission Manju, which releases later this year. The actor made her debut film with the 2016 Kannada movie Kirik Party and have regularly worked in Kannada and Telugu movie.

Rashmika was also the lead actor in one of last year’s biggest hits, Pushpa: The Rise, alongside Allu Arjun. She will also be a part of Pushpa 2, scheduled to release in 2023.

Amitabh Bachchan was recently seen in Ajay Devgn’s Runway 24, for which the actor received critical praise as usual. He also featured as the lead in Jhund, based on the life of Nagpur-based social worker Vijay Barse. Directed by critically acclaimed Nagraj Manjule, the movie was highly praised, with the senior Bachchan receiving positive comments for his performance.
