Filmmaker, lyricist Saawan Kumar Tak passes away. Celebrities pay tribute

Noted filmmaker and lyricist Saawan Kumar Tak has passed away. Saawan Kumar Tak was brought to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute in Mumbai where he was treated for his lung infection and breathing problems.

Saawan Kumar Tak's nephew Navin told the PTI news agency that the legendary filmmaker passed away at 16:15 IST on August 25, 22nd as his heart had stopped functioning. The Tak family is in deep sorrow after hearing about the demise of this veteran soul.

Saawan Kumar Tak directed some superhit Hindi films like Bewaffa Se Waffa, Souten, Souten Ki Beti, Saajan Bina Suhagan, and Sanam Bewafa. Saawan Kumar Tak is also credited for giving the first break and starring actors like Mehmood Junior and Sanjeev Kumar.
