According to the court document, the twins were given their mother’s last name 'Zilis' as their middle name and their father’s name as their last name. The names of the twins are unknown as of now.

In an interview with the New York Times in July 2020, Musk explained why his then-girlfriend Grimes was taking care of their son. "Babies are just eating and pooping machines, you know? Right now there’s not much I can do. Grimes has a much bigger role than me right now,” he told the news outlet.

Elon Musk responded to reports that he and Shivon Zilis welcomed twins by taking to Twitter. "Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis. A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far," read Musk's tweet.
