Ek Villain Returns is seeing a very flatlined graph in the box office by the fifth day of release. So far, the second film of the Ek Villain franchise has garnered about Rs 27.25 crore. Going by the present trend, the movie is like to rake in around Rs 31 crore by the end of the first week.

"Runway 34", the Eid released film, had also followed a similar trend. In the Uttar Pradesh region, Mohit Suri-directed film has received the maximum attention. But Monday sees a dip in the trend.

The box office collection of Tuesday saw a flat graph. Post this week, the condition is not going to improve as the big tcikets films are going to clash in the box office.

Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, which is a remake of Tom Hanks' Oscar winning film "Forrest Gump" and Akshay Kumar starrer Raksha Bandhan on August 11. These movies are now going to stand the test of the audience as Lal Singh Chaddha is already facing the flak of the internet and boycott hashtags trending for the same on the social media.

Notably, ahead of the release of Ek Villain Returns, Arjun Kapoor penned down an emotional note for his character Gautam. He is grateful for getting the opportunity to play and do a script as such of "Ek Villain Returns". The character was very close to him and would leave a mark on him for forever in his life. Now it is all in the hands of the audience if they make or break this movie into an average success or make it crash like the waves on the shores of Mumbai.
