Divita Rai: All you need to know about newly crowned Miss Diva Universe 2022

Divita Rai was Miss Diva Universe 2022 in an event graced by famous personalities from different walks of life. Divika Rai got emotional when she was crowned by Harnaaz Sandhu, winner of Miss Universe last year. Divika Rai will be sent as a representative of India at the 71st Miss Universe 2022 pageant. In this pageant, Sandhu will be in charge of crowning the lady who wins the title of Miss Universe this year.

While Divita Rai was crowned Miss Diva Universe 2022, the LIVA Miss Diva Supranational 2022 crown was handed over to Telangana's Pragnya Ayyagari. Pragnya was crowned by Miss Supranational Asia 2022 Ritika Khatnani. Ojasvi Sharma was crowned Miss Popular Choice 2022.

Though Divita Rai spent her formative years in Mumbai, she was born in the port city of Mangalore in Karnataka. After studying at the Sir JJ College of Architecture in Mumbai, Divika was pursuing a career as an architect. She would also do modeling assignments in her spare time. While she always had a keen interest in basketball and badminton, reading books and listening to music has been her favorite hobbies. Divita Rai had earlier participated in the Miss Diva Universe pageant in 2021. This was the same pageant wherein Harnaaz Sandhu was declared the winner. Last year, Divita Rai was 2nd Runner Up in the Miss Diva competition.



While giving an interview to a publication, Divita shared that she has a very 'adaptive' personality as she changed six schools and lived in different parts of the country as a child. She further stated that her motto in life has been to be acceptable to change and embrace what each moment offers you.

Now that she has been crowned Miss Diva Universe 2022, she wants to work toward making education accessible to every child. Her inspiration, she says, is her father. She stated that her father used education as a tool to get his family out of the financial challenges they were facing. She firmly believes that education can empower human beings and help them achieve all that they wish to.

Divita further stated that she has been hugely inspired by Sushmita Sen who has crowned Miss Universe in the year 1994. Apart from Sushmita's strength, Divita is inspired by her "conviction in her abilities".
