Disney+ Hotstar is adapting the American TV show, The Good Wife, for Indian audiences. To play the lead, the platform has roped in the leading Bollywood actor, Kajol. Interestingly, this would mark Kajol's first venture into the OTT domain.
Disney+ Hotstar dropped an announcement video of its upcoming web series. The video shows Kajol, playing a lawyer, walking into a courtroom. She asks, 'Shuru Karein,' asking the court permission to start the proceedings. The show's tagline stresses the series's primary elements: love, betrayal, and law.

While Kajol is making her OTT series debut with the adaptation, she had previously starred in a Netflix Original movie called Tribangha. Playing a mom, Kajol starred alongside Mithila Palkar, who played her daughter, and Tanvi Azmi, who portrayed Kajol's mother. Renuka Shahane helmed the directorial reigns.
Kajol is also starring in an upcoming movie called Salaam Venky, directed by Revathy. The movie also stars Vishal Jethwa and Ahana Kumra in prominent roles.
