Brahmastra sequel coming soon? All you need to know

The much-awaited Brahmāstra—Shiva Part One, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, was finally released in theatres on September 9. Interestingly, the film is not only getting great reviews but is also marching toward being a hit in film industry parlance. The Ayan Mukherjee-directed fantasy is said to be planned in a trilogy format.

A Three-Part Series
As Brahmāstra's success at the box office continues after a huge opening weekend, fans have already started demanding the next part of the series to be released soon. Industry sources claim that director Ayan had planned the entire three-part series even before beginning work on Part 1. The source confirms that the scripts for the remaining parts (2 and 3) are also ready.


When is the sequel coming?
Sources expect the second part, Brahmāstra Part 2-Dev, to be launched by the end of 2002 or early 2023. Ayan Mukherjee is known for his attention to detail; therefore, some fine-tuning of the script is anticipated to make it production-ready soon.
