Brahmastra, the much-anticipated film of this year, has finally arrived in theatres around the world. According to some Bollywood movie analysts, the film has been witnessing success, pocketing a good amount of box-office collection.
Reportedly, the movie has bagged around 100 crores in its opening weekend, with many people praising the makers and actors of Brahmastra. On the other hand, some people have criticised the movie for having a weak story, dialogue, and screenplay.
Nonetheless, the fans of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, the two lead characters in the movie, are on cloud nine after its release. Therefore, the fans are eagerly waiting to know when the film will hit the small screens through its OTT release.
Rumours about Brahmastra's OTT release started to do the rounds from the first day of its release. It has now been learnt that Disney+ Hotstar has purchased the OTT rights to the movie, as per reports. There is a strong buzz that the OTT rights have been sold to Disney+ Hotstar because Disney was also the distribution partner for Brahmastra's PR campaign. It is expected that the OTT rights for the movie have fetched a whopping amount. That said, the date of Brahmastra's OTT release is still anyone's guess. But, Brahmastra's OTT release could take place in October 2022. A new trend in the market has prompted moviemakers to keep a 6-week gap between the theatrical and OTT release of their movies. Brahmastra was released on September 9 worldwide. Ayan Mukerji is the director of the film.
