Brahmastra box office collection: Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt's movie to join Rs 200 crore club

After the much impending Bollywood marriage earlier this year, the excellent success of Ranbir Kapoor and his beau Alia Kapoor has surprised everyone, including the movie director, Ayan Mukherjee. The Brahmastra box office collection is expected to hit the Rs 200 crore milestone by the second week, following the closure of the first week's revenue of approximately Rs 170 crore.

How much has Brahmastra earned so far?

Brahmastra was released in theatres on September 9, and the box office collection witnessed a whopping Rs 75 crore globally. The film is released in Hindi and south-dubbed versions, ensuring to cover the larger part of the Indian entertainment industry. Although quite unexpectedly, multiplexes witnessed the increasing demand for tickets throughout the weekdays, and the single theatres showed no sign of a drop in sales.


Throughout the first week, the movie has done exceptionally well, resulting in a collection of Rs 10.25 crore to Rs 11.25 crore on the 8th day since release. This has taken the total collection to Rs 181.50 crore by the completion of the first week. Makers have targeted a minimum of Rs 42 crore for the second-weekend collection. If this happens, the total box office collection of Brahmastra after 10 days since release will amount to Rs 212 crore.

The net value of INR 181.50 included a collection of INR 161 crores from the Hindi version and about Rs 20.5 crore from the south-dubbed version.
