High turnover and poor management spark frustration
The employee, in his detailed write-up, listed multiple problems with his company, including high employee turnover, poor management and an unreceptive boss who was putting too much pressure on him. As per the post, he had been associated with the organisation for 3 years and was thinking about quitting since the conditions are unlikely to improve anytime soon. As per the Reddit user, the company turnover was the biggest issue, which reached such an extent that the firm was forced to scale down its operations and drop some clients, not being able to pay them. The Redditor claimed that compared to other companies, his organisation was not competitive enough, failing to offer resources related to higher pay, better incentives and even hiring more people.
Employee plans exit amid rising stress
Adding to the trouble, his boss was dismissive of the idea of revamping anything and ignored the suggestions offered by him in meetings. Even when she does agree on something, there’s never a follow-up, claimed the employee. He admitted to putting in immense effort to fix things that have been causing mental health woes. This has led him to take the bold decision of quitting the company in a month, even if he does not get a job elsewhere. The Redditor revealed that he has been pursuing a full-time course at the moment and would be using his school’s career resources to explore fresh opportunities. Luckily, he also lives in a rent-free situation, so he can easily ‘swing it for at least a few months’ if required. Although he is willing to land a job soon, he is determined not to work at his present company as his anxiety has been through the roof. He confessed to being overly burnt out, frustrated, and desperately needing a change.
