In 2015, Honeywell India won its second city surveillance project in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The results were tremendous in terms of checking, and curbing traffic violators, and crimes and thefts, making the city safer.

The next year, the company completed a city-wide installation of surveillance and emergency response technology in Ujjain to support the Madhya Pradesh police department’s work during the Simhastha Kumbh, with integrated CCTVs and automatic number plate reading cameras.

Using a command and control centre, the system integrates emergency response and traffic management systems. As part of the project, 667 video cameras were installed at the Mahakaal Temple. The project covered traffic and crowd management at checking bays, ghats, temples, and ashrams. It gathered realtime data to help authorities react to any incident and monitor areas for disturbances.

With Bhubaneswar wining an award for its smart city project, Honeywell is now in the process of enabling smart safety in the city.



It has partnered with the Odisha police to develop a city-wide surveillance system for maintaining law and order, and control traffic in the state’s capital. The project includes integrated CCTV, automatic number plate reading cameras, and a command control centre.

Advanced video analytics alert police about violations and abandoned objects. Cameras and DVR have also been installed on police vehicles.
