More About Jimin’s New Album
Titled ‘Muse’, the album will feature not one, but seven title tracks, including the single Closer Than This, which he released in December. The album is set to be released on July 19, less than a year and a half after the 28-year-old singer dropped his debut solo album, ‘FACE’, in 2023, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200.According to the Weverse post, just like ‘FACE’, the new album will help fans discover another aspect of their idol. As the name implies, ‘Muse’ will give Jimin enthusiasts a glimpse of his creative journey. “Following his first solo album, ‘FACE,’ where he sought to explore his true identity, ‘MUSE’ documents his journey in search of the source of his inspiration,” reads BigHit Music’s post on Weverse.
Jimin officially debuted as a solo artist in 2018 with the single ‘Promise’ . Five years later, he became the first South Korean soloist to top the Billboard Hot 100 with ‘Like Crazy,’ while ‘Set Me Free, Pt. 2’ from FACE also made it to No. 30 on the chart.
The announcement arrives during the singer’s 18-month mandatory service in the South Korean military, which he began in December with fellow band members V, Jung Kook, and RM. Apart from Jin, who completed his service just last week, the entire BTS group is currently fulfilling their military duties, with full-band activities anticipated to resume in 2025.
