K-pop sensation Jimin is back with a new song! The BTS member released his much-awaited pre-release single ‘Smeraldo Garden Marching Band.’ The song also featured American rapper Loco. The track provides fans with a thrilling glimpse of his forthcoming second solo album, ‘MUSE’, scheduled for release on July 19.

Jimin Takes Inspiration From The Beatles

The new song may give the audience familiar with the ‘60s pop phenomenon The Beatles, a sense of deja vu and nostalgia. ‘Smeraldo Garden Marching Band,’ is influenced by Beatle’s chartbuster ‘ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.’

The track is an irresistible blend of hip-hop beats and lively band instrumental. The upbeat song marks the second collaboration between Jimin and the producer trio- PDogg, GHSTLOOP, and EVAN, who worked with him on his debut solo album ‘Face’.

The song's title contains a reference to the fictional flower 'Smeraldo', which translates to "the truth untold." Veteran ARMYs would connect this easily to the BTS song The Truth Untold from their 2018 album Love Yourself: Tear.

The MV evokes nostalgia and can take the audience on a trip down memory lane due to its vintage aesthetic. It also touches on the theme of unrequited love and longing. 'Muse', Jimin's highly-anticipated second album will have seven songs in total - “Rebirth,” “Interlude: Showtime,” “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” featuring Loco, “Slow Dance” featuring Sofia Carson, “Be Mine,” “Who,” and “Closer Than This,” which was released in December.
