Brits confess to sexual embarrassments

Passing wind, interruption by parents and unexpected tears — these are some of embarrassing moments that Brits have copped to in a survey about awkward sex experiences. The survey, which included responses from over 2,500 people living in the UK, posed questions about the moments during sex that people would rather forget. The most common experience shared was having a member of family walk in at the wrong moment, which has happened to 63% of people.

Over half of the women asked revealed they had accidentally farted in the heat of passion (58%). The most common source of embarrassment for men was falling asleep while 21% had cried after a sensual experience with a partner. Two fifths of the people taking part admitted that they were ‘easily embarrassed’ during sex. When asked how they had dealt with the situation, 32% had tried to ‘laugh it off’. However, 38% admitted that they couldn’t continue.
