A day after his demise, tributes continued to pour in for actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Actors, actresses, film-makers and producers, and other members of the fraternity recalled their association with the 34-year-old who was found dead on Sunday at his Bandra residence.
Amitabh Bachchan and Shekhar Kapur took to social media on Monday to express their condolences and remember the vivacious personality of Rajput.
The Big B, who has over 18 million followers on Instagram, posted a picture with the younger actor on Monday afternoon. The post, which is accompanied by a long caption, has the thespian asking why Rajput took such an extreme step. Bachcha begins the post with “Why .. Why .. Why .. Why .. Sushant Singh Rajput .. why do you end your life .. your brilliant talent .. your brilliant mind .. laid to rest , without asking , seeking ..”
Praising him for his "sheer brilliance" as an artiste, the 76-year-old recalled that “His speak (speech) was measured, as was his screen presence. The ‘Piku' actor recalled watching "MS Dhoni: The Untold Story" in which Rajput reprised the then Indian cricket captain’s character and described the biopic "dressed with remarkable moments of his performance".

In one of their meetings, Bachchan recalled, when he had asked Rajput how he managed to give that iconic shot of the cricketer hitting a six to make India win the 2011 World Cup, the actor had revealed he watched the original video a hundred times.
"That was the severity of his professional effort. He came from humble beginnings, was a part of the fourth line group dancers, that performed shows with Shiamak Davar, the ingenious talented choreographer of our times, rising from those climes to where he was, is a story by itself," the 77-year-old star wrote.
Meanwhile, ‘Mr India’ director Shekhar Kapur, who had come close to working with Rajput in his ambitious "Paani", wrote on Twitter that he was aware that the actor was in pain for the last six months.

"I knew the story of the people that let you down so bad that you would weep on my shoulder. I wish I was around the last 6 months. I wish you had reached out to me. What happened to you was their Karma. Not yours. #SushantSinghRajput," he wrote on Twitter.

Sanjana Sanghi, who is set to make her debut as a leading lady in the yet-to-be-released "Dil Bechara" opposite Rajput, wrote a lengthy note in her co-star's memory.
"You gave me a forever, within a limited number of days, and for that. I'm forever grateful," she wrote quoting "our beloved novel", 'The Fault In Our Stars' on which the upcoming film is based.
Sanghi said they were supposed to finally watch the movie and Rajput told her that it was his "best film yet".
Sanjana Sanghi's Instagram Story
"In the middle of 16 hour long shoot days, you'd talk about how being and becoming Manny made you happy, and that being anybody but yourself made you happy. I was too ill equipped to understand the depth of what you meant," she said.
From guiding her through the filmmaking process to discussing ways in which they could together forge a brighter educational future for the children of India, Sanghi called Rajput a force to be reckoned with.
