Bridge champions! Kiran Nadar brings the gold to India after 12 years

Art patron Kiran Nadar can add another feather to her cap. Her bridge team, Formidables, defeated the Australian team during the finals of the fifth Commonwealth Nations Bridge Championships, bringing gold to India after 12 years.

The trustee of Shiv Nadar Foundation and Chairperson of Kiran Nadar Museum of Art was accompanied by B.Satyanarayana, Sunit Chokshi, Keyzad Anklesaria, Jaggy Shivdasani and Rajeshwar Tiwari as a part of the team.

The tournament witnessed participation from 36 teams from across the world including England, Scotland, Isle of Man, Guernsey, South Africa, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Newzealand, Canada and Wales.

Nadar had once told ETPanache that while she fell in love with the game when she played with her parents, she honed her passion over games with husband and HCL founder Shiv Nadar in their younger days.
