Braveheart Malala Yousafzai is now a fan of 'Neerja'

Sonam Kapoor's latest release 'Neerja,' has a new fan. The person in question is someone who has fought bravely for the education and upliftment of girls. It is none other than the braveheart and Nobel laureate, Malala Yousafzai, who survived a fatal Taliban attack.

Sonam Kapoor plays the brave Pan Am flight stewardess Neerja Bhanot in the biopic 'Neerja'. Neerja gave up her life to save 359 lives on the hijacked flight. The 23-year-old was shot dead while shielding three children from a hail of bullets. The catchphrase of 'Neerja' is 'Fear gave her courage' while Malala Yousafzai's famous quote has always been 'I am stronger than fear'. Apart from Sonam Kapoor, the movie also stars Shabana Azmi and Shekhar Ravjiani in pivotal roles.

'Neerja' has been a hit with the masses and at the box-office too. The film which opened on 700 screens in India was made tax-free in the state of Maharashtra recently.
