'Brahmastra Part One: Shiva' trailer is here: Big B, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt go against dark forces in this sci-fi

After announcing the film in 2014, the trailer of much awaited film 'Brahmastra Part One: Shiva' starring Bollywood couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, is finally out. The trailer of Ayan Mukherji directorial is a treat for eyes as it offers some intense visuals and dramatic storyline.

The over three-minute clip introduces the audiences to Shiva , the protagonist of the film, which is played by Kapoor and Isha, his love interest, played by Bhatt. The trailer begins with Amitabh Bachchan, who speaks about various 'astras' such as water, fire, wind that come together to form the 'brahmastra'.

Now Shiva, who is a DJ by profession, starts noticing strange things around him while completely oblivious to the astra - fire - that resides in him. Trailer shows Shiva falling in love with Isha at first sight. Shiva tells Isha his secret - "Fire does not burn me."


Meanwhile, we also see evil uniting to take hold of brahmastra.


Shiva approaches Guru, played by Bachchan, who mentors him and teaches him the secrets of magic. The film also stars biggies such as Nagaarjuna Akkineni who plays the role of Anish, while Mouni plays Junoon, an antagonist in the film with red fierce eyes.

Produced by Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures, the magnum opus will release theatrically on September 9, in five Indian languages -- Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
