Border 2 advance box office collection day-wise
Early indicators suggest that Border 2 has opened on a solid note. According to data shared by Sacnilk.com, the film registered an all-India gross advance booking of Rs 12.5 crore for its opening day. This figure was driven largely by the Hindi 2D format, which contributed almost the entire amount. In total, over 4.09 lakh tickets were sold across more than 16,000 shows. Now, on its first Friday, Border 2 minted Rs 7.24 crore, and it will keep on updating throughout the day.
When blocked seats are taken into account, the numbers look even more promising. Trade estimates suggest that the film’s total advance booking value climbs to around Rs 17.5 crore, indicating healthy demand in major centres as well as smaller towns. Industry insiders believe these figures put Border 2 in a comfortable position for a strong Day 1 total.
Moreover, Border 2 has already managed to outperform some notable recent releases in terms of advance sales. By January 21, the film had crossed the advance booking figures of Sunny Deol’s earlier release Jaat, which had collected Rs 2.4 crore in pre-sales and went on to open at Rs 9 crore net. By the end of pre-bookings, Border 2 also moved past Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, which had earned just over Rs 9 crore in Day 1 advance bookings.
This has naturally led to comparisons with the biggest hits of 2025 so far. Dhurandhar had recorded an opening day collection of Rs 28 crore, while Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava had gone even higher with Rs 31 crore.
