Alia Bhatt's Delhi trip draws criticism, BMC says actress didn't violate quarantine rules
The actress was in Delhi with Ranbir Kapoor for poster launch of 'Brahmastra'.

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt's trip on Wednesday to Delhi for the motion poster launch of her upcoming film 'Brahmastra' drew a lot of criticism. She travelled with director Ayan Mukherji and co-star-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.
Some news reports claimed that Bhatt was in Delhi for a movie shoot and had breached the quarantine rules.
A senior Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official informed PTI on Thursday that Bhatt did not violate any quarantine rule while travelling to Delhi.
The official said that the 28-year-old actress had tested negative before her trip and was not under quarantine. "No action is warranted if she has travelled with a negative COVID-19 report," the official said, refuting media reports about violation of COVID-19 rules.
After Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amrita Arora confirmed that they had contracted the virus earlier this week, producer-director Karan Johar's dinner party celebrating 20 years of 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' at his Bandra residence came under the scanner.

The BMC officials visited Sanjay's Juhu residence for sanitisation, according to ANI. They were seen in PPE kits with masks and gloves while sanitising the entire house.
Some reports suggest that the Covid transmission chain began from actor-producer Sohail Khan's wife Seema Khan. On Wednesday, their 10-year-old son was also found infected.
The city civic body immediately sealed their floor in their Pali Hill building as a precautionary measure. Kapoor Khan's home has also been sealed after her house help tested positive for the deadly virus.
