The gloves are back on, and the stakes are higher than ever. After delivering a gripping mix of raw boxing action and emotional storytelling in its first season, Bloodhounds is set to return with a second season that promises to be far more intense. The Korean action drama, which first won audiences over with its tale of friendship and revenge, now steps into a far more dangerous arena. The makers announced the release date along with the trailer.

Streaming details of Bloodhounds Season 2

The much-awaited second season of Bloodhounds will premiere globally on April 3 on Netflix. Viewers in India will be able to stream the new episodes on the same day, as the show drops worldwide on the platform.

When the series first released in 2023, it stood out for its gritty portrayal of two young boxers who join forces to dismantle a ruthless loan shark operation. Season 2 now raises the bar by shifting the story into the violent world of an underground international boxing league.

Actors Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi return as Gun-woo and Woo-jin. Having survived brutal battles in the past, the duo appear tougher and more determined. Gun-woo continues to chase his dream of becoming a boxing champion, while Woo-jin stands firmly in his corner, no longer just a friend but also his coach and chosen family. Their bond remains the emotional core of the story.

However, a new and formidable threat emerges this season. Jung Ji-hoon joins the cast as Baek-jeong, a ruthless figure who dominates an underground boxing league. Unlike previous adversaries, Baek-jeong is driven purely by money and power. According to the show’s official synopsis, he crushes even reigning champions without hesitation and soon sets his sights on Gun-woo as his next target.

The recently released teaser poster shows the two leads standing side by side, visibly scarred but unbroken. Meanwhile, the teaser trailer revolves around punishing training sessions, roaring crowds and a sense of looming danger. After finally tasting victory, Gun-woo’s moment of triumph appears short-lived as Baek-jeong’s shadow looms large, threatening not just his title but everything he holds dear.

Season 2 is written and directed by Kim Joo-hwan and is based on the popular Naver Webtoon of the same name by Jeong Chan. With a larger scale, new villains and more emotionally charged confrontations, the upcoming chapter promises a high-adrenaline ride. Stay tuned!
