Blackbuck poaching case: Jodhpur court warns Salman Khan, says will reject bail if he fails to appear at hearing
The actor is being tried in the two-decade old case.

JODHPUR: Trouble seems to be back for actor Salman Khan with a Jodhpur court warning to reject his bail, if he fails to appear before it in the next hearing in connection with the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.
The warning was given to the actor after he failed to appear at a hearing. The court then posted the matter to September 27.
On April 5 last year, a trial court convicted the 'Bodyguard' actor in the two-decade old poaching case, sentencing him to five years imprisonment. However, he was later granted bail after having spent two nights at the Jodhpur jail.
Khan was accused of killing two black bucks on October 2, 1998 in Kankani village in Jodhpur during the shooting of Sooraj Barjatya's 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'.
His co-actors, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam Kothari and Tabu, were also co-accused in the case, but were acquitted due to lack of evidence. In May, the Jodhpur bench of the Rajasthan High Court issued fresh notices to the actors following an appeal by the Rajasthan government against their acquittal by a chief judicial magistrate's court.

Notice was also issued to Dushyant Singh, another co-accused, who was allegedly accompanying the actors when the poaching took place.
