BlackBerry together with a luxury brand Porsche Design introduced the P’9983 smartphone, based on the BlackBerry 10 operating system.

NEW DELHI: Canadian smartphone maker BlackBerry together with a luxury brand Porsche Design on Thursday introduced the P’9983 smartphone, based on the BlackBerry 10 operating system.

This is the third smartphone in collaboration with the Porsche Design, the company said in a statement, adding that it brings strong security features through encrypted BBM instant messaging.

The companies partnered to launch the first QWERTY version with BlackBerry 10 with specially crafted glass-like keys with durable rigid synthetic material, and a special 3D effect with silver font characters.

It features Priority Hub to manage all conversations and notifications. The BlackBerry Priority Hub filters messages to users instant access to the conversations and content.

The Porsche Design P’9983 smartphone from BlackBerry will be available at the Porsche Design stores, select carriers and retailers around the world by the beginning of October 2014, the company added.
