Shivaani Mathesh, widely known as Miss Motoaddictto, recently shared her inspiring journey of balancing her love for biking with the challenges of pregnancy. Reflecting on her long-standing passion for motorcycles, she revealed how her fascination began in her school years and evolved into a defining part of her identity. Despite societal expectations in her village in Tamil Nadu, Shivaani pursued her passion, undeterred by comments about how her love for bikes might impact her future.

In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Shivaani eventually found a partner who shared her enthusiasm for motorcycles. After tying the knot, the couple vowed to fulfil their shared bucket list, united by their mutual love for adventure. However, Shivaani’s life took an unexpected turn when she learned of her pregnancy soon after their wedding. The demands of her first trimester left her physically and emotionally drained, temporarily distancing her from the activity she cherished most—riding her bike.



Determined to reclaim her sense of self, Shivaani decided to embark on a bike journey during her pregnancy. She and her husband, Vishwa, meticulously planned the trip, consulting multiple doctors to ensure safety. They mapped out a route from Salem to Kerala, prioritizing access to medical facilities along the way. Despite initial apprehensions from family, the couple reassured their loved ones with detailed preparations and safety measures.

The six-day ride turned out to be a transformative experience for Shivaani. Riding through picturesque landscapes with the wind in her hair, she rediscovered a sense of freedom and joy that had been missing in her life. While the journey came with challenges, including frequent breaks and the need for rest, it also brought unparalleled happiness and a sense of fulfilment.
