Bigg Boss 20: Who is Bhagirath Bhatt? Singer clarifies whether he is joining Salman Khan’s reality show

Sitar player and composer Bhagirath Bhatt has reportedly turned down an opportunity to feature in the controversial reality TV show Bigg Boss, which is also hosted by superstar Salman Khan. There were several rumours of him participating in the TV show circulating in social media. However, the musician clarified the rumours.

In an interview with Deccan Chronicles, the musician stated that he is not made to participate in highly publicised TV shows and wanted to be occupied by his musical pursuits.

"For the past few days, I have been getting a lot of questions on Instagram and social media about whether I’m entering Bigg Boss 20 or not. Thank you so much for all your love and curiosity, but I want to make it clear. I am not going to Bigg Boss 20. Honestly, I don’t think I am made for a show like that. I’m not someone who can shout or create unnecessary noise. I am a believer in calm music; peaceful music has always been my inspiration. Once again, thank you all for your endless love and blessings,” he said.


Who Is Bhagirath Bhatt?

Born in Jamnagar, Gujarat, Bhatt is a gold medallist with a focus in sitar from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Shree Chetan Shastri, Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan, Ustad Shahid Parvez, and Ustad Asad Khan were among the well-known instructors Bhatt learned under. His father, Pankajkumar Dineshchandra Bhatt, who has performed as a singer and tabla musician in Ramkatha events under the direction of Pujya Morari Bapu for more than 45 years, had a significant influence on his artistic path.

Although known as a classical musician, Bhatt has made a name for himself in Bollywood as well. He has contributed music to films such as Padmavat, Heeramandi, Ek Villain Returns, Border 2, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, etc. He has also collaborated with several composers and singers such as Pandit Birju Maharaj, A.R. Rahman, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Arijit Singh, Sonu Nigam, Ajay-Atul.
