Bigg Boss 18: Swami Aniruddha Acharya Maharaj promises to find a bride who won’t run away for Salman Khan

Bigg Boss 18 is poised to debut on October 6 at 9 p.m. and has unveiled its newest promotional video. This promo showcases the highly esteemed Swami Aniruddha Acharya Maharaj, alongside Salman Khan and a contestant from the show. Although the contestant's complete face is not shown, his voice and turban strongly indicate that he is BJP politician Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga.

In the promo, Swami Aniruddha Acharya Maharaj asks Tajinder Bagga, "Aap kis uddeshya se yahan aaye hain?" (Why did you come to the Bigg Boss house?), to which he quips, "Rajnaitik log bahut lalchi hote hain. Hamara lalach ye hota hai ki jyada se jyada log humein janen" (Politicians are greedy. Our greed is to be known by as many people as possible). Swami Ji then asks Bagga, "Aapki shaadi ho gayi?" (Are you married?). Bagga responds, "Bhai se chota hoon" (I am younger than Salman) The Maharaj then jokes that he will have to find matches for both of them. Addressing Khan, he says that he will find a woman who won’t run away, to which the ‘Dabangg’ star says that he likes girls who tend to run away.

Tajinder Bagga, a political figure associated with the BJP in Delhi, has gained significant popularity on social media for his bold and outspoken support of nationalist causes.

In 2020, he ran as the BJP candidate for the Hari Nagar Assembly seat but was defeated by Rajkumari Dhillon, the candidate from AAP. Two years later, in 2022, Bagga was detained by the Punjab police following accusations from AAP, which claimed he had made inflammatory remarks.

Bigg Boss 18 has an intriguing lineup of participants this season, featuring TV stars like Nia Sharma, Vivian Dsena, and Alice Kaushik. The show also includes Bollywood actress Shilpa Shirodkar as part of the cast.
